Soragon gel / oral ulcer gel
- Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes that helps in production of prostaglandins (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site .
- Benzalkolium chloride has broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties against bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
- Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic agent

Indications
- Oral aphthous ulcer
- Oral traumatic ulcer
- Oral leukoplakic patch
- Oral Sub-mucosal fibrosis
- Oral lichen planus
- Oral iatrogenic ulcer
- Autoimmune Oromucosal ulcers
Contraindications

Diet & lifestyle advice
- Avoid eating foods that irritate mouth ulcers.
- Avoid acidic foods as they can irritate mouth ulcers.
- Include whole grains and alkaline fruits and vegetables,
- Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Include multivitamins, especially B12, folate, zinc, and iron.
- Maintain good dental hygiene by brushing after meals and regular flossing.
- Gargling with salt water also helps in treating mouth ulcers.
- Apply ice or damp tea bags to numb the pain.
- Try natural remedies such as chamomile tea, Echinacea, myrrh, and liquorice root.
